Clayton Weatherman Upended in Texas
The Lonestar Legends Series staged a double-header at Texas Motor speedway this past weekend and Clayton Weatherman looked to continue his dominance in the Legneds Young Lion division.
In race one, Clayton fought the car a bit and finshed in third place. The team made quick repairs and he as faster in the second main event.
climbing through the field quickly, Clayton ran down the leaders and was making a pass for the top spot on the final lap when he was clipped in the right rear sending his car head on into the turn three wall. The impact destoyed his car and left Clayton with a broken right thumb that will require surgery this week. The accident will also keep Clayton out of the driver's seat for severla weeks at a minimum and that was not the news he wanted to hear as he is preparing for a championship run at the Legends Summer Shoot at Charlotte Motor Speedway starting in June.
